About Us
Mission: To promote public education and appreciation of the arts; to encourage artists; and to support high quality art through exhibitions, sales, classes and special programs available to the public of all ages.
Exhibits local, regional, national and international artists and culture. Classes in all media for children and adults. Provides led tours and performances. Sponsors three annual film series featuring art films that are followed by group discussion. Organizes an Annual Juried Art Fair featuring works by Midwest Artists. Facilitates an annual Beaux Arts Ball and art auction that supports TGAA operational fees.
TGAA is run by a 15 member volunteer board, staff and gallery volunteers. Funding is derived from individual and corporate memberships; program sponsorship; public and private grants; income producing programs such as classes, art fairs, film series, TGAA gift shop; and distributions from the Stanton Segner Memorial Fund Endowment.
